Trash and Recycling
ServicesStrathmore Neighborhood trash and recycling pickup is on Thursday Mornings.
Pickup will be one day late for the remainder of the week on the following holidays:

Yard Waste Pickup
Yard WasteYard waste includes brush, small twigs, branches, limbs, and leaves. The city of Syracuse picks up yard waste once a month from April through October.
File a Police Report
PoliceIf this is an emergency, dial 911. You can file a police report online through the Syracuse Police Department Citizens’ Online Police Reporting System.
Dog Control
PetThe Syracuse Police's team of Dog Control Officers handles nuisances and complaints regarding dogs in the City of Syracuse. These complaints range from barking dogs to unleashed dogs, unlicensed dogs, aggressive/attacking dogs and stray dogs.
The Syracuse Police Dog Control Officers work with B & R Bunkhouse Adoptables dog shelter operated by Barks & Rec. The dogs at the shelter are all unclaimed strays or victims of cruelty and neglect. The shelter workers and volunteers help to ensure that dogs in the shelter are cared for as they wait for a loving home.
Parks and Rec
ParkThe Department of Parks, Recreation & Youth Programs manages over 1,000 acres of parks, playgrounds, and open spaces in Syracuse including close-by Upper Onondaga Park, Lower Onondaga Park and Elmwood Park.
Tree Trimming or Removal
City PropertyIf there’s a tree on public property that needs to be trimmed or removed, you can report it online.
If you want to plant, trim, or remove a tree on city permit yourself, you’ll need to contact us for a permit. This includes renters, owners, developers, and utilities.
